Bio
Lauren Bahr is a Texas-born artist currently working in Brooklyn. She earned a BA in Theatre and Dance from The University of Texas in 2005, planning to start a career in acting, then promptly decided against it upon moving to New York, in favor of going back to her roots as a visual artist. Lauren has created collaborative and standalone work in a variety of media including music, painting, fabric installation, and performance art; she has shown at Ramekin Crucible and GalleryBar and performed in many NYC venues including Glasslands, Galapagos, 3LD Arts and Technology Center, The Public, Cameo Gallery and Death By Audio. By day she works in the fast-paced advertising department at Calvin Klein and maintains a visual inspiration blog (www.sevendaysofshade.tumblr.com).
